The Triton varsity softball team was dominant offensively and defensively in a 13-0 win at home over Purnell Swett in five innings on Wednesday night.
Junior Aubree Bass pitched a 2-hitter for the Hawks (1-1) with 10 strikeouts.
Takyra McLean was 2-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBIs. Berkley Campbell hit a home run and drew two walks. Ashley Pope went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs. Ava Blackman had two hits with a double and two RBIs.
Triton plays at North Johnston on Friday at 6 p.m., weather permitting.
