
AAC Player of the Year Ro’mello Pegues
Triton had the All American Conference Player of the Year in boys basketball in 2024-25, Ro’mello Pegues.
A senior, Peguese averaged 20.2 points for a 19-10 team that reached the second round of the NCHSAA 3-A playoffs.
“He is a great kid that is appreciative,” said Hawks coach T.J. Morrison. “He has worked hard to make scoring look easy.”
Pegues was given a ball commemorating his 1,342 carer points. He was among those recognized at a team gathering at Deborah’s Restaurant in Dunn on Wednesday night.
Triton finished runner-up in the AAC in the regular season and league tournament.
Making All-AAC from the Hawks were DemarbiazDevane, Jamaury Taylor and Brandon Surles.
Special awards presented Wednesday went to Devane (Most Improved), Carter Morrison (Coaches Awqrd), Cam Stewart (Hawk Award) and Taylor (Sharpshooter).
