Xander Johnson tripled in the bottom of the ninth and scored on a bunt by Riley Colville to give Triton an 8-7 varsity baseball win over visiting South Johnston on Saturday.
The Hawks lost, 8-7, at South on April 30.
Triton (2-2) saw a 5-run lead disappear in both games.
The Hawks got contributions throughout the lineup in the second meeting. Campbell signee Dalen Thompson was 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, a run and three RBIs.
Ira Matthews was 2-for-4 and scored twice. Sam Capps drew a pair of walks and had two RBIs. Dylan Smith scored a run. Johnson had a hit and scored two runs.
Riley Colville and Payden Crews each had a hit and an RBI. Josh Jackson scored a run.
Thompson and Ross Stevens were each hit by pitches. Thompson had two stolen bases and Johnson had one.
Carson Tart pitched three innings and was credited with the win. Ethan Glover went five innings with five strikeouts. Hayden Pope pitched one inning.
The Hawks open Tri-County Six 3-A Conference play at Lee County on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
South (1-3) begins its Greater Neuse 3-A Conference schedule at Clayton on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
