Triton took a pair of narrow varsity basketball wins at Cleveland on Tuesday night.

Kaila Cooney had 12 points and Anastasia McDonald scored 11 in a 41-39 girls win for the Lady Hawks (5-5). Freshman Abby Hood had 14 rebounds.

Dalen Thompson hit the game-winning free throw in a 55-54 victory for the Hawk boys (6-6). Josiah Lett had 17 points and 13 rebounds for Triton. Thompson finished with 12 points. Ladrabious Eason had 10 rebounds.

The Hawks open Tri-County Six 3-A Conference play at home against Lee on Friday night.
