HC presents awards for fall sports

Harnett Central held its fall sports awards gathering at the high school on Thursday evening.

The girls cross country team won the Tri-County Six 3-A Conference championship and junior Maggie McCormick was second in the state meet.

Achievements by athletes for academics and sportsmanship also were recognized.

The entire varsity volleyball team received academic all-conference honors.
