Harnett Central denied Western Harnett a varsity volleyball win on Senior Night for the Eagles on Thursday.
Set scores were 26-24, 25-14 and 25-20.
Western was down 7-1 to start the first set but rallied for a tie at 10.
Central got out to a 5-0 lead in the second set. Western closed within 13-10 before the Trojans pulled away.
Western led 17-14 in the third set before Central put together a strong finish.
The Trojans improved to 5-3 overall and 5-2 in the Tri-County Six 3-A Conference while the Eagles slipped to 3-5, 3-4.
Central hosts Lee County and Western travels to Triton on Friday, December 18.
