Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity softball team downed visiting Fayetteville Christian, 10-0, in six innings on Wednesday as sophomore Rhyleigh Horne hit a home run and pitched a shutout.

The Eagles scored six runs in the fifth inning.

Kim Bordeaux was 3-for-4 with three runs, including the game-ending run in the sixth on a ball hit by Averi Williams that the first baseman mishandled. Williams went 2-for-4.
