Triton started the David Reece coaching era with an 8-1 baseball win at Cleveland on Monday night.

Louisburg signee Anthony Jones pitched six innings with 11 strikeouts, no walks and no runs for the Hawks. He allowed one hit, which came in the sixth inning.

Jones also was 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs and a run.

Jalen Evansm who has signed with Wingate, went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored, and three stolen bases.

Xander Johnson drilled a 2-run homerun in the fifth inning. Braxton Davis added two hits/ Will Meredith had two RBIs and a run.

The Hawks (1-0) will be back in action at home on Thursday at 7 p.m. against Clayton.
