Lee County pulls away

Lee County pulled away to a 7-1 Tri-County Six 3-A Conference varsity boys soccer win at Harnett Central on Wednesday night as Cesar Yanes had three goals.

The Yellow Jackets (8-6, 3-1) scored six times in the second half after leading 1-0 at the break.

Central avoided a shutout in the 58th minute as senior Zach Sippel scored on an assist from classmate Angel Ramirez.

The Trojans fell to 1-7-2 for the season and 0-4 in league play going into a conference game at home tonight at 6:30 against Western Harnett (0-7, 0-4).
