Lee edges Hawk baseball

Visiting Lee County took a 4-3 Tri-County Six 3-A Conference varsity baseball win at Triton on Tuesday night.

“We played well enough to win,” said Hawks coach Joey Miriello.

Ethan Hedgepeth was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Josh McMillan had two hits and scored a run.

Christian Tyndall had a double and scored a run. Dalen Thompson had a hit and scored a run.

Matthew Dunn and Greg Godwin pitched. Dunn allowed six hits over five and one-third innings. He yielded four runs (two earned) while walking four and striking out two.

Godwin allowed no hits and struck out two.

The outcome put Triton at 2-16 overall and 1-6 in league play.

The Hawks visits Lee on Friday at 7 p.m.
