Logan Patrick wins 2-A golf again

Logan Patrick claimed the 2-A state golf championship Tuesday.

Logan Patrick of Midway won the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 2-A individual golf championship for the second straight year on Tuesday at Longleaf Golf and Family Club in Southern Pines.

Patrick followed a 71 on Monday with a 74 on Tuesday for a 145 total, finishing one shot over par for 36 holes and two shots ahead of individual runner-up Chase Clayton of West Stanly.

Midway totaled 648 as a team for second place in the team standings behind Lake Norman Charter (617).

The Raiders won the team title in 2018.

Individual scores for Midway on Tuesday included an 81 from Caden Hodges, an 84 from Andrew Eldridge and an 86 from Jordan Sullivan.
