Maggie McCormick of Harnett Central won the league meet.

Junior Maggie McCormick led Harnett Central to the girls Tri-County Six 3-A Conference championship in cross country at Kiwanis Park in Sanford on Wednesday with a first-place time of 18 minutes, 33.25 seconds over the five-kilometer course.

Trojans senior Lauren Greenspahn was third in 20:27.32 and HC freshman Savannah Godfrey took fourth in 20:37.17.

Sophomore Tinasia Davis of Central was seventh in 21:43.42 and soph Lillie Gardner rounded out the team scoring with an 11th-place finish in 22:48.34.

Trojans senior Jesus Gonzalez was third in the boys race in 17:19.49 as Central was second in the boys standings.
