Mariah Bell signs with Mount Olive for softball

Cape Fear Christian Academy softball center fielder Mariah Bell signed with Mount Olive during a ceremony at the school on Tuesday.

Bell was an NCISAA 1-A all-state selection in softball as a junior in 2021.

This season, she has a .610 batting average with 37 runs, 20 RBIs, nine doubles, one triple, two home runs and 33 stolen bases. The Eagles are 14-4 this season and are ranked No. 2 by MaxPreps in the NCISAA 1-A classification.

She also has played volleyball and basketball at CFCA.

Bell will join a Mount Olive program, coached by Mandy Sansbury, that has gone 39-13 in 2022 with an 18-6 record in Conference Carolinas.

She is the daughter of Michael and Briana Bell of Clinton.
