Laderique McNeill, who recently signed with N.C. State, was second in two events in the NCHSAA 3-A indoor track and field meet Saturday at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem.

McNeill totaled 16 points, which put Central in a tie for 10th in the team standings.

McNeill ran the 1,600-meter in four minutes, 17.40 seconds and had a time of 9:32.60 in the 3,200.

Long jumper John Rhody of the Trojans was 19th with an effort of 19 feet, one inch.
