Cape Fear Christian Academy’s middle school baseball team was topped, 10-6, by visiting Crossroads in the championship game of the Mid-Carolina Conference tournament on Tuesday.
The Eagles won the MCC regular-season title and finished with a 7-2-1 record. The hosts were coming off a layoff for Easter break.
Talton Herring had two hits for CFCA. The Eagles drew six walks and stole seven bases.
Chase Smith and Landon Dupree each had two steals.
Carter Glass started on the mound, allowing three earned runs over four and two-thirds innings.
