Middle school: CFCA Gold sweeps, Stephens’ four goals not enough

Cape Fear Christian Academy hosted Sandhills Classical Christian School of Southern Pines for Southeastern Middle School Athletic Conference matchups in volleyball and boys soccer on Monday.

The CFCA Gold team took a pair of 2-0 match wins to improve to 10-1 on the season and 9-1 in league play.

The visitors took a 6-5 overtime win in soccer despite four goals by Tyson Stephens. Eli Shwaikeh also was credited with a goal.

The CFCA teams that played Monday are scheduled to visit Highland for a scrimmage today (Tuesday, September 20).

The Eagles also have a girls tennis match today against Village Christian at Mazerick Park in Fayetteville at 4 p.m.

CFCA visits Northwood Temple in junior varsity and varsity volleyball this afternoon.
