Eighth-graders Grace Bruha and Susie Min of the Cape Fear Christian Academy middle school girls soccer team were recognized before a home match with Lee Christian on Tuesday.

The youthful Eagles didn’t win their Mid-Carolina Conference match with the Falcons, but have been showing improvement.

Coach Lucia Turlington commended the effort that the eighth-graders have put forth this season in her pregame remarks.

Min is from South Korea and will return home for her education prior to college.
