Cape Fear Christian Academy took a nonconference middle school basketball sweep of visiting Christ the Cornerstone of Laurinburg on Thursday.

Eli Shwaikeh scored 23 points in a 46-21 win for the CFCA boys (6-1). Luke Meyer, Reid Jones and Henry Smith had five points each. Braxton Register had four points and seven rebounds. Sam Hudson had four points.

Carolina Wynns had 15 points in a 39-16 win for the CFCA girls (2-5). Ellie Shwaikeh scored eight and Kinsley Godwin had six points.

Hayden Deese had four points. Scoring two points each were Ava Bailey, Kamryn Knight and Finlee Ring scored two points each.

CFCA hosts Cresset on Friday (December 6) for Mid-Carolina Conference basketball contests for middle school girls, middle school boys, varsity girls and varsity boys.
