Midway took a 10-5 baseball win over Jack Britt in the Bulldog Invitational at Terry Sanford on Monday.

Cameron Barefoot had two hits and drove in two runs as the Raiders improved to 8-2 going into a consolation bracket contest with Bandys at 4 p.m. Tuesday (April 3).

Brayden Coats and Cal Tyndall also had two hits each as Midway bounced back from a 7-1 loss to Terry Sanford in the event on Saturday.

“We executed pretty well offensively,” said Raiders coach Jason Fussell of Monday’s performance.

Chandler Williford contributed seven strikeouts in four and one-third innings. Sawyer Sutton pitched one and two-thirds innings for the Raiders. Eli Culbreth had one strikeout for Midway.

Fussell said Williford is the only member of the mound staff who would not be available Tuesday.
