Midway’s varsity girls basketball team held on for a 43-39 East Central 2-A Conference win at Wallace-Rose Hill on Wednesday night as senior guard Leah Williams had 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals.

The Lady Raiders improved to 20-1 overall and 10-1 in the league.

The hosts outscored Midway 19-9 in the fourth quarter.

J.J. Sankey had nine points in the win. Logan Baggett scored six. Madeline Royal had five points. Jenna Pope and Alyssa Wrench had four points each. Hannah Lucas had two points and Alexis Jackson scored one point.

The hosts won the boys game, 64-51.
