Midway won its first East Central 2-A Conference golf match at Sandy Ridge on Monday with a 312 score.

Matthew Faircloth of the defending state champion Raiders took medalist honors with a 76. Also scoring for Midway were Andrew Eldridge with a 77, Logan Patrick with a 79 and Jordan Sullivan with an 80. Cade Hodges came in with an 82.

East Duplin was second in the team scoring at 381. Clinton was third at 390.

Other teams scores included James Kenan (416), Spring Creek (437) and Goldsboro (463).

The Raiders play again at Southern Wayne on March 20.
