Midway wins league golf, Patrick gets East Central Player of Year

Midway successfully defended its East Central 2-A Conference golf championship at River Landing in Wallace on Monday with a 317 score.

Logan Patrick of the Raiders shot 70 for medalist honors. Ryan Kimble of Goldsboro was second at 72.

Andrew Eldridge had an 81 for Midway, while Matthew Faircloth and Caden Hodges each shot 83 for the Raiders.

Patrick was named the league’s Player of the Year. Eldridge, Faircloth, Jordan Sullivan and Hodges made all-conference from Midway.

The Raiders, the defending NCHSAA 2-A champions, play in a state tournament regional at Vineyard Golf Course at White Lake on Monday.
