Molnar’s four goals lead Terry Sanford soccer win at Triton

Davis Molnar scored four goals to lead Terry Sanford to a 6-4 varsity boys soccer win at Triton on Thursday night.

Molnar, a senior, has committed to play basketball at Furman. His first goal set the tone in the first minute.

Shun Bost scored goals for the Bulldogs in the sixth and 21st minute for a 3-0 lead.

Benny Villalvazo scored on a free kick for the Hawks in the 21st minute.

Terry Sanford expanded its 3-1 halftime lead to 5-1 on a pair of goals by Molnar in the first five minutes of the second half.

John West scored for the Hawks on an assist from Elias Lopez in the 50th minute. Molnar’s final goal came in the 51st minute. Omar Hernandez had an unassisted goal for the hosts in the 55th minute.

A.J. Harrell scored off a rebound for Triton in the 72nd minute.

The outcome put the Hawks at 13-6-1 overall and 8-4 in the All American Conference.

The Bulldogs (16-5, 10-2) remained in a tie with Harnett Central for the league lead.
