Cape Fear Christian Academy’s cross country team competed in a Sandhills Athletic Conference meet hosted by Village Christian Academy in Fayetteville on Monday with all Eagles runners posting personal bests on the five-kilometer course.
The boys ran first with sophomore Jaden Crumley of CFCA turning in a time of 19 minutes, 40 seconds for 16th among 45 runners. Freshman Trey Tripp was clocked in 20:00 for 18th. Junior Chase Garcia was 35th in 27:00.
Eighth-grader Ruby George led the CFCA girls with a time of 23:08 for ninth among 25 competitors. Freshman Trinity Olive was 14th in 26:10. Juniors Sonja Raolji and Bella Jones each ran for the first time and both completed the campus layout in 32:37.
Middle School Boys Soccer
The CFCA middle school boys soccer team took a 6-0 loss at the O’Neal School in Southern Pines on Monday. The hosts dressed 24 players and had a decided advantage in terms of depth.
The Eagles host Freedom Christian in middle school soccer on Thursday at 4 p.m.
