The Cape Fear Christian Academy middle school volleyball team took two Southeastern Conference matches at St. John Paul II in Southern Pines to remain unbeaten.
CFCA’s middle school soccer and volleyball matches at St. Patrick’s in Fayetteville on Thursday have been called off due to the threat of bad weather.
The Eagles fell 6-1 in middle school soccer at St. John Paul II despite David Clearman’s 12 saves. Jackson Breslin had CFCA’s goal.
The Eagles went to Freedom Christian for cross country, running their best times of the season.
Eighth-grader Ruby George completed the five-kilometer course in 31 minutes, 40 seconds for 20th among the girls. Trinity Olive ran 38:13 and was 28th.
Freshman Trey Tripp had a time of 24:03 for 20th in the boys race and sophomore Jaden Crumley was 22nd in 24:32.
