MS baseball heading into SEMSAC tournament

The Cape Fear Christian Academy middle school baseball team is seeded No. 4 for the Southeastern Conference tournament and will visit top-seeded O’Neal of Southern Pines on Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the league tournament semifinals.

The Eagles, who won the regular-season championship in the Mid-Carolina Conference, are coming off a 12-2 loss to visiting Crossroads Christian in the MCC tournament final as the Colts were able to maintain after taking an early lead Tuesday.

CFCA was dealt a one-run, walk-off loss at O’Neal during the regular season.

Northwood Temple travels to Village Christian in the other SEMSAC semifinal.

The championship is scheduled for Thursday at the highest remaining seed.
