Visiting Northwood Temple Academy scored twice in the first eight minutes in a 6-0 Sandhills Athletic Conference varsity boys soccer win at Cape Fear Christian Academy on Thursday.
CFCA had some scoring opportunities. Tripp Selph put a shot on goal on a breakaway in the second half but NTA keeper Solomon Smith made a diving deflection.
CFCA was without senior midfielder Trey Tripp due to a foot injury.
CFCA hosts Village Christian on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
