One-loss Bandys tops Raiders

Bandys, a 2-A program from Catawba, took a 6-3 baseball win over Midway on Tuesday in the Bulldog Invitational at Terry Sanford.

The Trojans improved to 13-1 while Midway slipped to 7-3 with its second loss in the event.

“We had one bad inning and made several errors,” said Raiders coach Jason Fussell.

Henry Happel was 2-for-3 for Midway. Austin Peterson and Cal Tyndall also had hits.

Chandler Williford was named to the all-tournament team from Midway.

The Raiders, 3-1 in the East Central 2-A Conference, return to league action with a home game against Goldsboro on Tuesday, April 10.
