Host Cape Fear Christian Academy lost its opening game of the middle school boys soccer season to Southeastern Conference foe Berean Baptist 4-2 on Thursday but Jackson Breslin provided a highlight for the Eagles.
Actually, a pair of highlights.
CFCA coach Michael Breslin moved his son out of the goal and into the attack against the visitors from Fayetteville.
The younger Breslin responded with both of his team’s goals.
It was the first multi-goal game that the coach could recall for the CFCA teams he has coached.
The Eagles visit Fayetteville Christian on Thursday.
