Raiders get in scrimmage action in Harnett Jamboree at Triton

Weather and COVID issues were factors in the Harnett Jamboree on Wednesday evening, but Midway managed to get in some live action against E.E. Smith in the second session of the night.

Harnett Central, South Johnston and the host Hawks could not participate due to protocols. The jamboree had a delay due to lightning in the area.

Plans call for the Raiders to host the Sampson Jamboree on Friday evening beginning at 5 p.m.

Cleveland, Overhills and Western Harnett scrimmaged in the first session on Wednesday at Triton.

The high school football season is scheduled to begin on August 20. Midway opens at Hobbton.
