Colby Pope was named Male Athlete of the Year at Midway’s annual athletic banquet on Thursday night. Pope is planning to enroll at East Carolina.
There were co-winners on the Female Athlete of the Year, Methodist softball signee Blythe Best and Leah Williams, who has signed with Mount Olive for basketball.
The Heart of a Champion Award went to Luis Acosta for boys and Hayley Herndon for girls.
