Sawyer Sutton has signed with UNCW.

Four Midway athletes have signed to play on the college level.

The group includes baseball players Sawyer Sutton and Dawson Wiggins as well as softball players Miranda Holmes and Sydney Williams.

Sutton is heading to UNC Wilmington. During three games in the shortened 2020 season, Sutton hit .250 with two RBIs for the Raiders. He pitched three innings with five strikeouts.

Wiggins is going to Ferrum College in Ferrum, Virginia. Wiggins threw six innings with four whiffs as the Raiders went 2-1 before the season was halted due to COVID-19.

Holmes signed with Barton College in Wilson. She pitched 20 and two-thirds innings for Midway (2-2) with 33 strikeouts and a 0.34 earned run average.

Williams is going to UNC Pembroke after hitting .267 with four RBIs in 2020.

Dawson Wiggins is going to Ferrum College in Virginia.

Miranda Holmes is taking her pitching talents to Barton.

Sydney Williams will be joining the softball program at UNC Pembroke.
