Midway continued a strong season in golf on Wednesday, winning the East Central 2-A Conference match at Southern Wayne Country Club with a 314 score.

Sophomore Logan Patrick of the Raiders and Chandler Perry of Clinton shared medalist honors with 73s.

Trey Pope had a 74 for Midway. Matthew Faircloth contributed a round of 82. Jordan Sullivan and Andrew Eldridge each shot 85s.

Clinton was second as a team at 336.

“That was the first time we played that course as a team, but we had a goal of shooting 310 to 315 and we made our goal,” said Raiders golf coach Glenn Patrick.

The East Central resumes play on April 9 with East Duplin hosting a match at the prestigious River Landing course in Wallace.
