Rain shortens Harnett Educators golf tournament

The 36th annual Harnett Educators golf tournament at Keith Hills on Friday was shortened due to rainy weather.

The championship flight was limited to 12 holes with Brooks Matthews, Eddie Jaggers, Braxton Wynns and Jerry Hockaday finishing first at 12-under par over the White and Orange nines.

Grant Mace, Chris Mace, John Costa and Matthew Christian captured the second flight at 10-under par for 12 holes on the Black and White nines.

The third flight was won by Brian Foster, Wes Sills, Douglas Godwin and Andrew White at 5-under par for 11 holes on the Orange and Black nines.

Harnett Central athletic director and varsity boys basketball coach Will Gage serves as director of the event.
