Wyatt Holland of Midway throws on the move on a state-record night.

Midway senior quarterback Wyatt Holland set a North Carolina High School Athletic Association record with 10 touchdown passes in a season-opening 80-73 win at Hobbton on Monday night.

Holland, who missed the Sampson Jamboree on August 13 to rest his back, completed 30 of 38 passes for 540 yards.

Loden Bradshaw of the Wildcats passed for nine touchdowns completing 20 of 37 for 260 yards.

The previous state record of nine TDs was set by Connor Mitch of Wakefield in 2012.

The Raiders will be on the road again Friday night at South Brunswick while the Wildcats travel to Trask.
