Rhyleigh Horne, who helped Cape Fear Christian Academy to NCISAA 1-A softball championships in 2019 and 2022, has signed to play softball at Meredith.
Horne primarily has played shortstop for the Eagles, but also has been effective as a pitcher.
Horne hit .419 for a 19-5 team in 2022. She had 32 RBIs with 11 doubles, three triples, one home run and 12 stolen bases.
Her pitching numbers as a junior included a 3-0 record with no earned runs and 25 strikeouts in 11 innings.
She has earned all-state recognition in softball and volleyball.
