Chuckie Robinson drove in seven runs for the Buies Creek Astros on Sunday in a 10-7 win over visiting Down East.

Robinson had a grand slam in the third inning and a decisive three-run homer in the eighth.

Abdiel Santana (8-1) got the win in relief of starter Patrick Sandoval, who went five innings. Colin McKee pitched the ninth for his fourth save. The trio had 10 strikeouts.

Going into a noon game today with the Wood Ducks at Jim Perry Stadium, the Astros trail the Winston-Salem Dash by a half-game in the Carolina League Southern Division second-half season baseball standings.
