Cape Fear Christian Academy’s girls tennis team posted a 9-0 win over Village Christian at Arnette Park in Fayetteville on Wednesday afternoon to improve to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the Sandhills Athletic Conference.

Singles winners at Nos. 1 through 6 were Ella John Dupree, Anna Jackson, Madeline Brocious, Aubrey Jackson, Nina Sauer and Karson Hamilton.

Dupree and Anna Jackson teamed up in the No. 1 doubles, Brocious and Anna Jackson won the No. 2 doubles and Sauer combined with Hamilton at No. 3.

The Eagles were scheduled to play Community Christian at the Lake City Club in Elm City today but that match was postponed to Friday, October 2 at 4 p.m.

Middle School Volleyball moves to 6-0

The CFCA middle school volleyball team improved to 6-0 with a pair of wins over visiting Village Christian on Thursday.

Middle School Soccer topped

The CFCA middle school boys soccer team, comprised almost entirely of sixth- and seventh-graders, yielded two goals early in each half and fell to visiting Village, 4-0, on Thursday.

JV/Varsity Volleyball

The CFCA junior varsity volleyball team stayed unbeaten with a 2-0 win at Fayetteville Christian on Thursday to improve to 3-0 in the SAC. The hosts posted a 3-1 win in the varsity match.

The Eagle varsity plays in the Falcon Classic at Lee Christian in Sanford on Saturday.

Varsity Boys Soccer falls

Fayetteville Christian pulled away to an 8-0 varsity boys soccer win over CFCA on Thursday at the Jordan Soccer Complex in Fayetteville, dropping the Eagles to 0-2 in the SAC.
