— Nick Kurtz (Wake Forest) had a hit and scored a run for the Athletics in a 5-1 win over visiting Arizona.

— Cincinnati hosts Atlanta tonight in a nationally-televised contest from Bristol Motor Speedway (FOX, 7:15 p.m.).

— Wells Fargo Cup winners for overall athletic performance among NCHSAA schools for 2024-25 include Cardinal Gibbons in 4-A, North Lincoln in 3-A, Seaforth in 2-A, and Christ the King in 1-A.
