Six Hawks make first team All American Conference in football

Six Triton players have been named first team All American Conference for the 2021 football season.

The selections from the Hawks include offensive lineman Noah Jackson, running back J.J. Cowan, tight end James Shaw, kicker Carter Daughtry, defensive lineman Nate McKoy and linebacker Ross Stevens.

Ernest King of Westover is the league’s Coach of the Year.

Senior quarterback Keshun Taylor of league champion Pine Forest won the award for Offensive Player of the Year. Senior Twan Anderson of Westover is Defensive Player of the Year and freshman Latrell Carter of Pine Forest has been recognized as Special Teams Player of the Year.

Harnett Central’s first team players are offensive lineman E.J. Artis, running back Tay’Shawn Moore and defensive lineman Khalil McKoy.

Making first team from Overhills are offensive lineman Nick Magyar, punter Chris Gama, defensive lineman Damien Robinson and linebacker Benny Nena.

Honorable mention from Triton went to offensive lineman Jayden Giles, back Camauri McDougald and quarterback Jalen Evans.

Wide receiver Chris Mills made honorable mention from Harnett Central.

Honorable mention choices from Western Harnett include wide receiver Ian Bristow, running back Elijah Bass and linebacker Myles Washam.

Making honorable mention from Overhills were running back Justin Hobbs, quarterback Jordan Bryant and defensive lineman Hunter Berryhill.
