South Johnston scored three runs in the first inning, seven in the second and six more in the fourth in a 16-0 Greater Neuse 3-A Conference varsity softball win at Smithfield-Selma on Tuesday night.

South moved to 8-5 overall and 3-2 in league play.

The Trojans travel to North Johnston for a nonconference game Thursday.
