Jordan Davis is shown in high school with his mother, a Triton grad.

Jordan Davis, the 2021 Outland Trophy winner as the top interior lineman in college football, was a key figure in Georgia’s 33-18 win over Alabama in Indianapolis on Monday night in the College Football Playoff championship.

His mother, Shae Allen, graduated from Triton in 1994.

Davis, a senior, started at defensive tackle for the Bulldogs (14-1) and had a tackle for a loss as the Crimson Tide (13-2) was limited to a season-low point total.

Davis, who is 6 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 340 pounds, was in the game as a blocker on the first touchdown of the game when Georgia took a 13-9 lead on a 1-yard run by Zamir White with 1:20 left in the third quarter.
