South Johnston evened its Great Neuse 3-A Conference varsity baseball series with West Johnston by beating the Wildcats 9-3 at West on Thursday night.

Grant Millay, Dylan Honeycutt and Clay Milburn pitched as the Trojans evened their league record at 2-2.

South is 8-7 overall going into a league game Tuesday at Smithfield-Selma.

West took a 7-3 softball win over the Trojans.
