South View shuts out Overhills to start 2021 second season

Overhills was the first varsity football team in the area to complete a game in the second season of 2021, but the Jaguars were dealt a 43-0 nonconference loss at South View on Friday.

Kickoff was moved up to 5 p.m. to avoid potential bad weather.

Jamareese Ray had a pair of scoring receptions for the Tigers and finished with 115 yards on five catches. South View had a 24-0 lead at the half.

Justin Hobbs ran for more than 100 yards for the Jaguars, who visit Lee County on Friday night for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
