Triton football standout De’Marius Staton is scheduled to sign with St. Augustine’s on Wednesday.
Staton had 178 carries for 1,150 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2017 as the primary fullback in the Hawks’ Wing-T. He also had five catches for 51 yards.
Staton had 14 solo tackles and five assists for Triton, playing tackle and linebacker as a senior.
Hawks coach Ben Penny said Staton will join the Raleigh-based Falcons program as an athlete with the potential of becoming an H-back offensively or a defensive end.
