South Johnston celebrated the 50th anniversary of its 1974 state championship girls basketball team with a reunion on Friday night. The team included Genia Beasley, whose No. 50 is retired at N.C. State, and Wanda Watkins, who went on to play, coach and serve as an athletic administrator at Campbell.
