Play in the Tar Heel Leagues District III 10-and-under baseball and softball tournaments at Al Woodall Park in Erwin on Thursday night was halted due to rain.

Erwin led Western Harnett 10-1 in the bottom of the first inning in the baseball game on Field One.

Western Harnett had a 1-0 lead over Erwin in the bottom of the second inning in softball on Field Two.

Tournament officials were hopeful that field conditions and weather would allow the games to be resumed tonight (Friday, July 12) at 6 p.m.
