Erwin is hosting a pair of Tar Heel League district tournaments beginning Monday (July 9) at 6 p.m.

Al Woodall Park will be the site of 10-and-under as well as 12-and-under softball competition.

The Erwin 10-and-under All-Star softball team includes Makenzy Coley, Kyndall Faircloth, Madelyn Hair, Bailey Johnson, Gracie Lanfair, Kayleigh Merritt, Shelby McLamb, Cameron Pope, Anslee Putnam, Bryleigh Smith and Addison Tart. The team is coached by Jason Faircloth.

The Erwin 12-and-under All-Star softball team includes Madison Bass, Sabrina Black, Camryn Conway, Lexi Davis, Carleigh Hemby, Mckenna Moore, Madelyn Parker, Reece Penny, Baylee Reagan, Whitni Royal, Jennna Underwood and Ashari Watlington. Wayne Underwood is coaching the 12-U team.

Erwin baseball All-Stars

Erwin’s 10-and-under baseball All-Stars begin district play at Optimist Park in Southern Pines on Tuesday at 6 p.m. That team includes Brayden Bates, Palmer Ennis, Laxton Hodge, Thomas Honeycutt, Kaiden Jensen, Zamonte McDougald, Malikih Moore, Conner Parrish, Kaleb Sherman, Kayden Sherman, Joseph West and Austin Williams. Bill Parrish is coaching the 10-U baseball.

Erwin is sending its 15-and-under baseball All-Stars to Broadway for the district tournament beginning Monday at 6 p.m. Team members are Nathan Barefoot, Tanner Campbell, Dillion Faircloth, Lee Giles, Shay Jackson, Zydarius McDougald, Rand McMillian, Xaiver Monk, Landon Peregoy, Hayden Pope, Lance Stephenson, Jeremiah Streeter, Jake Tyndall and Tanner Winnie. Shon Jackson is the 15-U coach.
