Teague leads UNCA past Camels

BUIES CREEK — UNC Asheville got 36 points from MaCio Teague in a 64-57 Big South Conference basketball win over Campbell at Gore Arena on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs had a decisive 16-0 run early in the second half in which Teague tallied the first 10 points.

The visitors improved to 15-9 overall and 8-3 in the league while the Camels slipped to 12-11 and 6-5 despite 23 points from Chris Clemons.

CU plays next at High Point (10-12, 5-6) on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Camels edged the Panthers 65-64 at home on Jan. 12 as Clemons hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
