Seventh-grader Ben Thompson shot a 73 on Monday from the white tees over the White and Black nines at Keith Hills to lead Cape Fear Christian Academy to a varsity golf win over Crossroads.

The Eagles totaled 243 to 293 for the Colts.

Cade Godwin had an 82 for CFCA, which is No. 2 in the NCISAA 1-A rankings. Hunter Roberts scored with an 88.

The Eagles host Village, the No. 1 team in the NCISAA 2-A ratings, on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
